"THE STORY SWAP"

10 minutes · no prep · no screens · tonight

Tonight, you and your kid build one story together — one sentence each. You start: "Once upon a time, there was a dog who was afraid of…" , then they add the next line. Back and forth you go. No vetoes, no fixing, no matter how ridiculous it gets. (The dog is afraid of sandwiches now? Good. Keep going.)

THE ONE JOB

Write down the single best line they came up with, in their exact words. That's the keepsake. In ten years you'll have forgotten the story, but you won't have forgotten that line.

That's one play. There are 28 more just like it. One a day, each one caught in their own handwriting, in the exact year they were this age and thought you were magic.

You get about 18 summers with your kid, and by the time they're 4 you've already used a few. The Dad Playbook is 28 days that put ten deliberate minutes back into the day, before those minutes quietly disappear. No theory, no prep, no screens. Just you, showing up.
